# GUI Wallet

## XEQ Legacy Swap — GUI Wallet Guide

The New XEQ GUI wallet is the easiest way to complete the swap. Remote nodes are pre-configured — no daemon setup, no terminal commands.

### Step 1 — Download the GUI Wallet

Download: <https://github.com/DomXEQ/New-XEQ-GUI/releases>

* **Windows** — Download the win.exe. Best practice is to create a new folder on your PC and save the wallet in it.&#x20;
* **Linux** — Download the AppImage.&#x20;
  1. Install required dependencies:\
     sudo apt-get install -y libboost-all-dev libsodium23
  2. Go to properties and enable "Executable as Program"

### Step 2 — Open and Sync

1. Open the wallet
2. It connects to the remote node automatically
3. Wait for sync to reach 100%
4. Create a new wallet or restore an existing one

> ⚠️ When creating a new wallet, you will be asked to save your seed words. Write them down and keep them safe. If you lose these words, your funds are gone forever.

### Step 3 — Send Mainnet XEQ to Swap Wallet

1. Go to the **Send** tab
2. Send to the swap wallet:

3. Enter the amount you wish to donate
4. Click **Send**
5. A success dialog will appear showing your Transaction ID — click **COPY TXID & CLOSE**

> ⚠️ SAVE YOUR TRANSACTION ID. You will need it in the next step to generate your proof.

Your remaining balance will be temporarily locked while the transaction confirms. Funds typically unlock after \~10 blocks (\~20 minutes).

### Step 4 — Generate Transaction Proof

1. Did you wait for 2 confirmations (2 blocks)?
2. <mark style="color:$danger;">Wait for 2 blocks!</mark>
3. Go to the **SWAP - TX PROOF** tab
4. Paste your **Transaction ID**
5. Enter the **Receiving Address (The address you just sent XEQ to in Step 3)**

6. Click **Generate**
7. Your proof will appear — click **COPY PROOF**

Once you have your TXID and Proof, move on to Step 5.

### Step 5 — Submit on the Swap Portal

1. Go to <https://swap-testnet.xeqlabs.com/>
2. Fill in:
   * **Legacy XEQ Transaction ID** — The TXID from Step 3
   * **New XEQ Wallet Address** — Your testnet wallet address or the stock testnet address.&#x20;
     * <mark style="color:red;">**STOCK TESTNET ADDRESS**</mark> - <mark style="color:$warning;">**XEQTBRS3uFaUzqkYM7i7yy1e8CvKCBqDKZk42ePxHRdFCPAdSbgfbsi94N8sSAcHurcqowBEwEivbc3KTBudokK73Pje3GXZmg**</mark>
   * **Transaction Proof** — Paste the proof you just copied from Step 4
3. Click "Submit Swap Request"

If the Submit Swap Request button is greyed out, one of your addresses is incorrect.

Once submitted and validated, your swap entry is recorded. That's it — you're done!
